Chicken Art!

I am sooo excited! These beautiful, original watercolors arrived in my mailbox all the way from Norway. Eva, who some of you may know as the supplier of fabulous chicken photos seen in my bead listings, is also an artist. I am amazed at the detail of these paintings. Each chicken has a name in the large one. I LOVE these paintings! :D Many, many thanks to Eva! I am also going to email her privately -- I know that a web site was in the works, but not sure if she has a site yet. I will post here if any contact info is available. And now I really should list some beads in the store, but... yep... I need to go TORCH! It is already 2 hours later than I planned to get out there and get melting some glass. I hope to list a bead or two later today. Thanks for stopping by. :)

Back from Port Townsend!

Hello again! I actually got back Sunday afternoon, but Monday and Tuesday were busy, busy, busy. I was supposed to get back Saturday night, but a US Naval submarine had the Hood Canal Bridge backed up so far that I missed my plane. You can see a sub passing through the bridge in the link - about halfway down the page. It is a major big deal, at least as far as the traffic backup! But it was ok - I stayed another night in Port Townsend and did some torching! :) LOL Many thanks to my friend Andrea Guarino-Slemmons for the great time and fun torching with silvered glass and learning silver core techniques for beads. Larissa, from RisaBeads also stopped by and torched that day - cool beads and a such a nice person. I also purchased a new Bead Press tool from Jim Moore (what a great guy!) that I am very happy with. Here are a few of the beads that I made while there:
